School Goals For 2014
My favorite character of The Hunger Games is Katniss Everdeen. She is a young woman that lives in Panem, in district twelve. Her family is very poor. Her father died in a mine explosion leaving her in charge of keeping her mother and her little sister alive. I think that is was responsible of her to take charge of her family when her father died because she had to go out to the woods and hunt for food with her best friend, Gale, the food that they didn't eat, was traded for needed objects or money.
She is very skilled with the bow and arrow since she hunts with it. She is very brave throughout all the books. Katniss is the hero of the story. She is the most important person to the revolution because what she does is what people care about, is what they see as an example to follow and I think she does a pretty good job with that, she is very convincing when the situation demands it. She is very smart but she needs the help of other characters so that her weak points become strong.
She is not willing to give up her life to the capitol. Even tough sometimes she would like to run away, she fought for what she thought was right I think she was extremely courageous and that is why she is my favorite character. She didn't only fight a physical battle but also a psychological one.She had very difficult times during the story and this is when she needed her friends the most. I admire a lot her desire to live, to free herself and all the people she loved was the thing that since the beginning gave her the strength to fight.
My Favorite Character Of The Hunger Games
Have you ever wondered what is outside the earth? Outside the earth there are other planets, stars and galaxies. If we do not even know if there are aliens, what other mysteries is the universe holding for us? Can you imagine parallel worlds? Somewhere it is possible to transport from one place to another just by closing your eyes and imagining were you would want to go?
Well you should think about it because there are no limits. Anything is possible. Your wildest dreams can come true. The questions [of the universe are a lot and now we can not answer all of them], but I [bet we can not answer half of them.] Think that the questions do not even have to be from what it is outside from what we know. What if the questions you have are from what is inside our world.
What are the questions that you need to ask? For example when you were little didn't you have a question that when you asked changed the whole meaning of your life or at least of that day? People say that asking questions helps our learning but if you do not ask them you will not. Think about a question you have wanted to ask and ask it because if you don´t you will never know the answer. Some questions you have can not be answered by other people, but you can look for the answer yourself.
Do you like to travel? Well I do. It is a very rich learning experience. You learn important things for life not necessarily how to solve math problems but issues you will have to learn to solve by yourself in life. In trips is when you learn to be self sufficient. When you are not traveling and far from home is also when you realize how much you need and miss the people who you really love. There are many things that traveling makes you realize and that is awesome because when you get back you can appreciate more the things that you didn't before.
The best thing about traveling is getting to know beautiful places. Where in the world would yo like to go? I would love to go to Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Alaska, Africa and many more places. Which landscapes do you prefer watching? I like all kinds but I prefer the ones that are not man made. What climate do you prefer, cold or hot? What do you like to know when you go in vacations, museums, beaches, monuments, performances, stay on the hotel, know the city walking??? These are all questions that you should think about when you are deciding were to go.
Traveling is an awesome experience. It is a good way to know new people. When you go to different countries or even cities than the one you live on you can learn the different cultures of the people for example in what they eat and what do they do in normal day. Traveling is a good way to learn things that you will need in life, it is exiting and a way to get out of your routine.

Taking choices is a very important part of life. Everything we do, important or not we have to make choices. Every choice we make takes us to make another and so on. Some decisions we have to make every day are, Do I shower or eat first? What can I eat? Did I already say good bye or should I say it again if I did not? Which friend should I tell first what happened? Which song should I hear? Do I like more the first or the second? Should I answer or shouldn't I? Is it better if I wait or do it now? This are just some of the questions we make to ourselves a thousand times each day.
Another type of questions are the ones that take a bigger impact directly to our lives. When you have to go to college there a million things you have to choose but the major ones are, what will you study and college you are going to go. Once you make the biggest decisions the little ones may become easier some will even disappear in the process. It is also possible to get stuck picking and it is okay because to enjoy life you must not rush through it.
Remember there are several options in life. When you have to select just one thing and they give you a pool of alternatives and you do not like them try to find another one that is reasonable. Decide wisely what you want thinking about the present but thinking in the consequences that might bring in the future. Life is made of choices and you might not always select the best one but time keeps going on so you should do to
love at first sight
Is love at first sight possible? Do you think it happen to many people? I think it is, although a lot of people do not believe it can happen. Many people claim that their love was at first sight, but is it? I believe there are different types of falling in love. One is love at first sight but I also believe it does not happen to many people. This kind of love is difficult find because when it happens it may not be real. Some people may think that they fell in love at first sight but they just had a feeling about a person and they liked them right away but that may not be true love. There are many things people say about how true love is but I think that it fell different for every person and they express it differently. For example someone might feel that they will never be alone again so they try to ensure their love for giving their love messages.
There is a big difference between loving and liking a person. Some people may think that they are in love in a situation but it may be they just like a person. When this happens my theory is that they would not be together for much time but after a while of being together they may get in love. When true love is at first sight I think it lasts because they are meant to be with each other. I think there is a special person meant for another person and that they are destined to be together. It might be difficult to find the person meant for you but you will find him or her and when you do, I hope you can recognize it. Because some people when they have real love in front of their eyes they do not recognize it and that makes them loose it very quickly and they will probably not have another chance to find love again.
In the actual society love is difficult to find but not impossible. So if someone finds it they should not allow people to make decisions about it. Although when people are young and take bad choices about who to date so if they have a boyfriend or a girlfriend and a friend or someone that they care about or trust wants to give them a piece of advice they should listen to them. Because sometimes what people think is love blinds them and they do not notice that the people they think they love with all their hearts are harming them instead of helping them. Try to search for real love but do not loose your mind with the idea, stay conscious that it may not be easy to find at all but have faith and you will find it maybe not in the way you think.
What is youth?
The definition according to the Merriam-Webster is "the time of life when one is young; especially : the period between childhood and maturity". But youth can extend it if you want to because it does not reflect only in the outside but it can be shown by the things you do. Another way you can continue being young is not leave the things you do when you grow like never stop asking questions.
The adults think that life every day gets worst but that only happens because they make it so. Enjoying life is the best way to live. Some times the adults should just forget what their obligations are for one day and do something different. Something that they would not be expected to do. That way they can be and feel free.
The people who want to be young can be. They can do it by not letting the society and the people around them put into their minds that now they are old. So because they are supposedly old they can not do things that they want to or that they want to start doing. It is never too late to be young and happy.
Is true love the reason why Romeo and Juliet got married? Or was it because they were young and naive? Or was it because they wanted to defy their parent? Or was it so Juliet could get out of her marriage with Paris? Or was it just an impulse? It might have been several of this combined. But it was definitely not to get out of a marriage with guy she did not love because that is what she would be doing marrying Romeo. Also If they just wanted to defy their parent they would not have killed themselves for that simple reason.
A more reasonable idea was that they were truly in love. So they acted in a way that they preferred to die than to live with out each other. But that is still a possibility that is hard to believe because some people do not believe this can happen. If they had told their parents that they loved each other in a more diplomatic way maybe the could still be together, if people form one family wouldn't have killed each other at the end would the families accepted each other? It is a thing that we'll never know.
Another theory is that they were just young, naive, and their love was just an impulse. This one is the one that a lot of people thing is true. It is the most reasonable and most likely. If this was true it would explain why they did not tell their parents because they were scared of being judged by something they are not even sure about.
What was the real reason ofr Romeo and Juliet´s love?
It would have been horrible to be in a royal family or to have lived in Europe long ago. I think that is true because it may not be just like the movies show us. The scandals that happened in the royal families of Europe waere horrible. First they married cousins, uncles close family in general, or also they some times had to marry people they did not knew at all. They were engaged since they were Little kids or some times before they were born. If something unexpected happened new plans would come along in a short period of time. For example if you had to marry someone, and this person you did no knew died so then you suddently did not have a purpose in the world for some time, then they would just find you someone new to marry.
If you had dreams you had to dump them because it was very unlikely they would come true. The Kings could do anything they wanted to and no one would tell them anything. If a King had sons and doughters out of their marriage nothing would happen. I think that would be totally horrible. They were definetley not role models at all. But they had the power and there was nothing a poor farmer could do about the un justice. I mean, maby they were just okay with it but it did not make a difference anyway because the monarchs were the ones who could do anything and no one elese could speak up.
In modern day you can marry who you want and reaching
dreams is much easier. The society we live in is very free if we
compare it to how it was back then. Our time period is more
flexible with the coices we have to make, we have options
unlike them, so we really should enjoy more the freedom
we have. I am thankful that I do not have such big
responsibilities that were puto on children back
then becuase even if we have to go to school we
do different things every day and we can speak
up about the things we like and we don´t.

Whacking Day Analysis
When authors are going to write any type of story they require a certain level of inspiration that depends on each and every one of them and the topics they are talking about. Some might go from a place to making the same story with some different characteristics much like a parody some times. "The Lottery" being such an important literature piece in the North American society may be compared to many similar stories that might have started out with the inspiration of "The Lottery" itself. The "Whacking Day" of the Simpsons series is the perfect example. In the Simpsons there is an annual massacre of snakes and even though everyone in town kills the snakes some people are against it and try that more people understand that the killing is unnecessary and barbaric. In the original story "The Lottery" the annual human sacrifice is reflected in the snakes by the deathly shadow they both share. Some people do not agree that the murder is necessary including whole towns have rejected the ancient practices of such dark and scary actions. In the Simpsons Lisa wants to save the snakes because there is not a real reason that they have to be killed so she wants to protect them. On the other hand the reason for the lottery is a belief but there is not proof if the actual crops are more abundant than other years just for the human sacrifice. The Simpson's writer might of want a better end to the story, perhaps to give a more encouraging message, that if you fight hard enough you might save what you believe is worth saving but in the first story the girl is murdered at the end by the villagers with rocks.
